Websites for media brands and publishers
We build websites for media brands and publishers that give every place or topic you cover a page of its own, keep listings current on their own, and give advertisers a way to get in touch. A post can then link to a page on your own site.
What should a media brand's website have?
Most of your audience finds you on social media. The website is where a post can send them for more, and where search engines find you. It should have:
- A page for every place or topic you cover, so a search lands on the page about it
- Listings that update on their own, such as events pulled from an open data feed every night
- One search across the whole site, forgiving enough to find what someone means when they spell it wrong
- An advertise page with a short form to your inbox, and paid featured spots where you want them
- Photographs credited properly, each with its source and its licence
- No cookies or ad trackers, so a reader has nothing to accept before they read
Media brands we have built for
Irish Daily is a travel and culture brand. Its site has more than 750 pages, including a ranked top ten for every county, a page for each of 640 places, what's on by day and by county, one search across the whole site and an advertise page with paid featured spots.
The parts that run themselves
On Irish Daily's site, a small program collects the event listings every night. A couple of hours later the site rebuilds itself and checks every page before anything goes up, and if a check fails, nothing is uploaded and we get an email. The same rebuild moves seasonal pages along, such as the next bank holiday weekend. There is no admin panel to log into and no software to keep up to date.
What it costs
A website is €500, everything included, up to thirty pages. A media site usually runs to more pages than that, and a larger site is quoted after a conversation. Care after the first year covers hosting, security, backups and changes. There is no VAT on top. Everything that ships with a site is on the pricing page.

Common questions
What does a website for a media brand cost? €500 for a site of up to thirty pages. Most media sites are larger, and those are quoted after a conversation, with no VAT on top.
Can the site keep itself up to date? Yes, for anything that comes from a feed. Event listings, for example, can be collected every night with no one typing them in.
Can advertisers book a featured spot? Yes. An advertise page sends enquiries to your inbox, and featured spots can sit wherever you choose, such as the homepage.
Where do the photographs come from? We can source them and credit each one on the site with its source and licence, or use your own.
How long does it take? It depends on the size of the site, and we tell you before we start.
Do I own the website? Yes. The domain is registered in your name, and the site is yours.
