Web design in Mayo

We build websites for trades and small businesses across County Mayo from our base in Tralee. One fixed price of €500 with everything included, no VAT on top, and most sites are live within one to two weeks.

Built for how people search in Mayo

Mayo is the third-largest county in Ireland, and people search it town by town. Somebody in Ballina with a leaking roof types "roofer Ballina" into their phone. Somebody in Westport types "roofer Westport", and somebody in Belmullet wants a roofer who will come out to Erris. A homepage that says "we cover Mayo" answers none of those searches well.

A site built for a Mayo business has a page for each town it works in, written in plain sentences about the jobs done there. A builder in Castlebar who also covers Westport, Ballina and Claremorris gets a page for each, and Google has somewhere exact to send each search.

What we have built in Mayo

Barrett Firewood is a family firewood business on Achill. Online, it had a Facebook page and a Google listing with no website on it. The new site has a page for each product with its price, delivery and VAT included, an order form that asks for the Eircode and where to set the order down, and four guides, including one on the 20% moisture rule for firewood that came in on 1st September 2026. Around Mayo the Barretts deliver the orders themselves, and further afield the orders go by pallet courier. Google had all twenty-two pages in its index by the end of the day the site went live.

Selling and delivering across the county

Firewood yards, farm suppliers and fuel merchants sell across a county this size by delivering, and the website has to do the selling: a page for each product with the price on it, the delivery rules in plain words, and an order form that asks for the Eircode, because a townland name on its own will not always bring a courier to the right gate.

That is how the Barrett Firewood site works. A customer picks the product and how many, sees the total, and sends the order from their phone. They get an order number on screen and use it as the reference when they pay by bank transfer. If you would rather take cards, payments can go through your own Stripe account.

Websites for the businesses Mayo runs on

Trades. Electricians, plumbers, roofers, builders and installers win work from a phone search and a phone call. Their sites lead with the services, the towns and a call button. More on websites for tradespeople and painters and decorators.

Tourism and hospitality. Westport, Achill and the Great Western Greenway between them bring visitors who plan the trip on a phone before they arrive: a B&B in Westport, bike hire in Newport or Mulranny, a surf school on Achill. The site has to say what you offer on the first screen, load where the signal is weak, and take a booking or an enquiry without a phone call. Online booking covers that, from a simple booking link to a full system.

Clinics, studios and practices. A physio in Castlebar, a gym in Ballina or a dental practice in Westport needs its hours, its treatments and a way to book, and very little else. See websites for gyms and physio clinics and dental practices.

Getting found on Google Maps in Mayo

Most people in Mayo pick a tradesperson from the map: the three businesses Google shows above the websites. Your Google Business Profile decides who appears there. It needs the right category, accurate hours, real photos of your work and reviews that name the job and the town. If you travel to your customers, set the towns you cover as your service area, so Google knows you come out to Swinford or Ballinrobe as well as your own town.

Every site we build comes with a walk through your Google listing, so the listing and the website say the same thing about what you do and where you do it. Our Google Business Profile checklist is the same list we work from, and how to get more Google reviews covers the part only you can do.

Built from Tralee, for Mayo

Mayo is a long way from Tralee, and it has not held a build up. Barrett Firewood went from the first message on 11th October to a live site on 23rd October without a visit. We work over the phone, by email and with a preview link you open on your own phone, and we change it until it is right. Eight of the sites we have built are written up on our work.

The towns we cover

Castlebar, Westport and Ballina. The east of the county: Claremorris, Ballyhaunis, Knock, Kiltimagh, Swinford and Charlestown. The south: Ballinrobe and Cong. The north: Foxford, Crossmolina, Killala and Belmullet. The west: Newport, Mulranny, Achill and Louisburgh. If the business is anywhere in Mayo, from Erris to the Galway border, we can build for it.

What it costs

A website is €500, everything included, up to thirty pages, with €300 a year after the first year for hosting, security, backups and changes. There is no VAT on top. The full breakdown, and everything that ships with a site, is on the pricing page.

Common questions

What does website design cost in Mayo? €500 for the build, everything included, and €300 a year after the first year, with no VAT on top. How that compares with what agencies and freelancers quote is in how much a website costs in Ireland.

Are you based in Mayo? No, we are based in Tralee, County Kerry. Every site we have built was done over the phone, by email and with a preview link, the one on Achill included.

How long does it take? One to two weeks for most builds. The words are what usually hold it up, and we can write them for you.

Can customers order and pay online? Yes. A customer can choose a product, see the price with delivery and send the order from their phone, the way Barrett Firewood's site works. Card payments can go through your own Stripe account, and a booking link or a full booking system goes on the site if your business runs on appointments. See online booking.

Can you design a logo as well? Yes. Barrett Firewood had no logo, so we designed the wordmark its site uses. If you do not have one yet, mention it when you get in touch.

Is there a grant for a website in Mayo? Ring Local Enterprise Office Mayo in Castlebar and ask what is open this year. For years the Trading Online Voucher covered half the cost of getting a small business online. The newer Grow Digital grant excludes a custom website build. More detail is in how much a website costs in Ireland.

Do you only work in Mayo? No. We build for businesses across Ireland and further afield, and we work the same way wherever the business is. See web design in Kerry, web design in Cork, web design in Dublin, web design in Limerick and web design in Ireland.
