A professional poker dealer training academy in Cork.

Where they started

Jamie was starting something that did not exist yet. Ireland's first dedicated poker dealing academy, running out of Macau Sporting Club in Cork, first intake this October, ten spots.

He had no website, no way to take an application, and no way for anyone searching for dealer training in Ireland to find him. Interest was arriving through direct messages, one at a time, and every one of them needed him to answer personally.

A business that has not opened yet has no reviews and no history to point at. The site has to do that work on its own.

What we built

A full seven-page site, built to make someone confident enough to apply. The course, the curriculum, the venue, outcomes and the founder each have their own page, so every search lands somewhere exact.

• The course laid out in full, what it covers, how it runs, what it costs, how you pay
• An application form kept deliberately short, name, contact, age and which option describes you best, so applying takes under a minute
• Lisa, an assistant that answers questions about the course at any hour and captures anyone not ready to apply yet
• An automatic reply to every applicant, sent within seconds, confirming it arrived and telling them what happens next
• Twenty languages, translated in place, because a good share of the people who deal cards professionally in Ireland did not grow up here
• A branded 404, A rated security, GDPR clean consent
• Registered with Google and Bing, and a Google Business Profile set up and verified

Where it landed

It scored 100 on Google's performance measure at launch, and sits between 95 and 100 on performance, which moves from one run of Google's test to the next without the site changing.

The site takes applications around the clock. Each one is stored, emailed to Jamie, and answered automatically before he has read it. He wakes up to completed applications instead of half-finished conversations.

What came after

The website was only the start of the job. Since launch we have built him a recruitment reel, a course syllabus carousel, a giveaway poster, an email signature, an agreement on letterhead, and his Google listing.
