Barrett Firewood
By Ashton Foran, director. Published .
A family firewood business on Achill, in County Mayo, delivering kiln-dried logs across the county and nationwide.

Where they started
Barrett Firewood is a family business selling kiln-dried hardwood and softwood from a yard on Achill, to homes and to the trade. Online, the business had a Facebook page and a Google listing, and the listing had no website to link to.
They wanted a website that could sell: every product with its price, and a way to order it. They sent the products, the prices and a photo of each one over WhatsApp, and we built the site around them.
What we built
Twenty-two pages on their own domain.
- A page for each product, with its price on it: extra large bags, hardwood crates, dumpy bags, barrow bags, pallets of 80 bags, bark mulch and sawdust, every price with delivery and VAT included
- Kindling and stove coal to add to any order, and a page for bulk and trade loads, which they quote load by load
- Their own product photographs, cut out on white
- A delivery page: around Mayo they bring the order themselves, and further afield it goes by pallet courier
- Terms written for selling online: the 14-day right to cancel, a cancellation form, and returns collected at no cost to the customer
- Four guides: how much firewood to order, hardwood or softwood, kiln-dried firewood and the 20% moisture rule that came in on 1st September 2026, and how to store logs
- Their Google review on the homepage, word for word, beside their place on the WFQA scheme's list of certified firewood suppliers
- No cookies, and a privacy page naming each company that handles an order
- Registered with Google and Bing, with visits, call and WhatsApp taps, and orders counted from day one
How an order works
On the product page, a customer chooses what they want and how many, adds kindling or stove coal if they like, and sees the total. The order form then opens with all of that filled in. It asks for a name, a phone number, the Eircode and where to set the order down, with room to mention a narrow gate, soft ground or overhead wires.
When the customer sends it, Barrett Firewood gets an email with an order number in the subject line, and the customer sees the same number on screen. Barrett Firewood rings or texts to confirm the order and the day, then texts the bank details. The customer pays by bank transfer, using the order number as the reference, and the order goes out once the payment arrives.
If the form fails to send, the page says so and offers the same order as a WhatsApp message, with every detail filled in.
Where it landed
The site scores 100 on accessibility, best practices and search, and between 95 and 100 on performance, which moves from one run of Google's test to the next without the site changing. Google had all twenty-two pages in its index by the end of the day the site went live.
Someone looking for firewood in Mayo, or anywhere else in the country, can see what a bag costs delivered and send an order from their phone at any hour.
What it cost them to run
Hosting, backups, security and any changes they want. One invoice a year.

Who we are
Cozy Mind Media Limited is a company registered in Ireland, number 791740. We build apps, websites and automation tools for businesses worldwide. Every site is built for speed, security and performance. Our contact email is info@cozymindmedia.com.
What data we collect
When you submit the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, business name, and any message you write. We collect only what you voluntarily provide.
Our chat widget, Aria, is an automated AI assistant, not a person. Your messages are sent to a Cloudflare Worker and processed by an AI model to generate replies, and a real person reads enquiries and follows up. If you share your name or contact details in a chat, they are stored in our lead system (on Cloudflare) and deleted after 90 days.
Why we collect it
Solely to respond to your enquiry and discuss a potential project. We do not use your details for marketing without your explicit consent. Our legal basis is your consent (which you give by submitting the form or starting a chat) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our services. Analytics cookies are used only with your consent.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data is retained for up to 12 months. Enquiries held in our lead-management database (Cloudflare D1) are automatically deleted after 90 days. If we begin a working relationship, project-related correspondence may be kept for up to 3 years for business record purposes.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it with these processors: Hostinger, which hosts this website and keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and reliability; Formspree, which handles contact form submissions; Cloudflare and Anthropic, which power the AI chat widget, the bot-protection check (Cloudflare Turnstile), and securely store enquiries in our lead-management database (Cloudflare D1); Cal.com, which handles the booking if you choose to book a call (the details you enter in the booking form are processed by Cal.com and added to our calendar); and Google, which receives website-analytics measurement data (Google Analytics) if you accept cookies. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless traffic counter that stores nothing on your device and never identifies you, so it runs without consent.
Some of these processors are based outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the EEA, it is covered by the safeguards those providers have in place, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
